Tuition Assistance
Promise: To provide for a fully refundable $4,000 tax credit for tuition & fees each year for any student that performs 100 hours of community service over that year.

This one is easy enough to measure - all he has to do is get the bill written and passed then sign it.
Since his promise defines a specific amount of community service to be performed, we thought it would be good to put that as one of the Pledge options on our Pledge Poll. So for all of you college students out there that want to see this happen and are going to want to take advantage of it when it does, there is no reason for you not to pledge 100 hours here.

How we are defining / determining the Promise:
For this promise to be accomplished:
1. There needs to be a fully refundable tax credit in the amount of $4,000 available for tuition & fees each year. This will be determined by the tax codes in effect, so a qualifying citizen would have to be able to make this credit on their taxes in order for the Promise to be “fulfilled”. We will use the official tax codes as provided by the IRS.
