Medicare Prescription

Promise:  Repeal the ban on Medicare to directly negiotiate for prescription drug prices with drug companies.

The 2003 Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act bans the government from negotiating lower prices for prescription drugs. 

If that Ban is repealed, and Medicare can negotiate for better prices, the promise will be fulfilled.

How we are defining / determining the Promise:

We will go by the official US record (will post a link to the actual Act which should then also hold the section that is “repealed” once that has taken place).  Fulfillment of the promise will take effect when the repeal has taken effect.
