Our Goals
Everyone needs some goals right? How else are we going to measure our success?
The Goals of The LEAP for America are fairly simple. We just want to enhance our communities. Of course that is a subjective goal and we are going to do the same thing we did for the Promises and put a more finite number on things.
Here are some of the more defined goals we have come up with:
1. To have 1 million hours pledged (and if promises are met actually done) by the end of the first year. Since we are launching this site on the 21st of Jan. 2009, that means we would like at least 1 million hours pledged by the end of the year. Since our Pledge Polls have up to 10 hours on them for each Promise, that would mean something like 100,000 people each pledging 10 hours, or 50,000 people pledging 10 hours on each of 2 different Promises, or 500,000 people each pledging 2 hours…… You get the picture. We think 1 million hours pledged in the first year is an achievable goal. We will post our goals for the 2nd year once the first one is done and we see where we are at. Now go to our Promise pages and pledge!
2. To be reviewed and noticed by top administration officials. We want the administration to see that there is a huge community of citizens that want Promises fulfilled, and are willing to put our time where our mouth is. We want to show that not everyone is a politician (saying they will do something and then forgetting about it), that we the people can come together and show our support for Promises made by the President.
3. more to come….

I’m signed on! I love this idea and am sending it on to all I know. I was recently given information about a support group here in Lexington, KY who needs support volunteers for families of servicemen and women. So my FIRST 8 hours are going there. Then there are animals and children and food centers and shelters…..
